Alumni Scholarship Application Request Period begins November 1, 2023.

The window for requesting an application for the Alumni scholarships will be open from November 1, 2023 until January 15, 2024.


Who is Eligible?


The Northeast Catholic Alumni Memorial Scholarship Fund awards about $500,000 in grants each year to children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of active dues paying alumni, who qualify based on financial need and academic performance.


Each of the scholarships awarded are multi-year grants to students who are currently in 5th grade, 8th grade or high school seniors. The number and amount of the grants are explained below.


College/Universitt Awards - Five $32,000 grants are awarded to high school seniors who will attend a Catholic College/University in Southeast Pennsylvania or De Sales University in Allentown. These grants are split out evenly over four years. The complete list of colleges/universities is available on the scholarship page of our website.


High School Awards - Five $20,000 grants, five $16,000 grants, five $12,000 grants and five $8,000 grants are awarded to 8th grade students who will attend a Catholic high school within the boundaries of the Philadelphia, Camden and Trenton Dioceses, including private Catholic schools. These grants are split out evenly over four years.


Elementary School Awards - Three $9,000 grants, four $6,000 grants and three $3,000 grants are awarded to 5th grade students who are attending or will attend a Catholic elementary school within the boundaries of the Philadelphia, Camden and Trenton Dioceses, including private Catholic schools as well as Regional Catholic Schools. These grants are split out evenly over 3 years.


How Do I Apply?


To request an application, go to the scholarship page of our website between November 1, 2023 and January 15, 2024 and click the "Request Application" button. The request must be made in the name of a living dues paying alum who is the father, grandfather or great-grandfather of a current 5th grade student (for the grade school award), 8th grade student (for a high school award) or a 12th grade student (for a college award).


Dates to Remember


The deadline for requesting an application is January 15, 2024.


Someone at the Alumni Office will verify the eligibility of the alum who requested the application, at which time all of the applications and request for information will be sent by January 19, 2024 to the parent(s)/guardian(s) for the student.


The completed application must be submitted to the Alumni Office no later than February 19, 2024


The Northeast Catholic Memorial Scholarship Fund Trustees will select the scholarship award winners and alternates by May 1, 2024 for college scholarships, and May 15, 2024 for high school and grade school scholarships.


The families of the scholarship winners, as well as the alternates, will be notified.


The names and schools of the scholarship winners will be posted on our website and social media accounts, as well as published in The Falconer, our quarterly newsletter.
